Interesting how Oliver is happy to give so much information to Kate, I guess Emilico's efforts really made him and Olly take a shine on her, it was really sweet how happy they were to see her and I look forward to more of their interactions.

It's sweet how they still think of Shirley though, I do wonder if we'll see her in the future as we know Rum is now a veiled doll.

F for John. First he got bonked on the head by a falling wall, and now he's getting roasted by his crush. It's great to see Kate undergo some character development, she doesn't have to rely on Emilico to make allies or get things done.
The best ship in Shadows House is clearly the debutant class' friendship; I loved their wholesome bonding moment at the end.

Manipulate or not, people aren't going to want to do stuff to benefit you just because. They either need to want to for whatever reason or another (John's reasons are pretty obvious for example) or there needs to be some tangible benefit in it for them.
